Dr. Kenneth Buchholz

Having worked in small, medium and large organizations as well as in start-ups and long-established companies, I know first hand that one of the major differences between older, larger corporations and smaller, newer companies lies in the availability of in-house resources for training and mentoring for both staff and management, as well as time & funds available for obtaining those services from outside.  The focus of Blue Ridge Consulting is to help fill that need.

Management...

There are many management seminars offered, and they can and do fulfill certain needs.  But what if your specific needs are not met by any "canned" seminar?  What if you have a specific problem or issue to address and need a more personal resource to assist you?  What if your company can not supply proper management mentoring in-house nor does it have hundreds of dollars to spend sending you to an all-day seminar?  What do you do when you don't have anyone internally to bounce an idea off of?  These are the types of needs where Blue Ridge Consulting stands out from the rest.

Whether you need a personal management mentor, a consultant to assist you in working on a specific issue, or need a trainer to provide a group seminar on a specific topic, Blue Ridge Consulting wants to help you to address your need in an affordable manner that is flexible to fit your schedule. 

Having retired from a very successful career in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, I started Blue Ridge Consulting not as a source of income but  to help fill the management needs I see in both industry and government.  I am driven by my love of working with people and the satisfaction of helping individuals grow and excel in their careers, not by acquiring additional personal wealth.  For that reason, if Blue Ridge Consulting is not the best resource to fill your need, we will tell you so and, if possible, assist you in finding the appropriate resource to address your needs.

Clinical Operations...

There are plenty of Contract Research Organizations to turn to for out-souring clinical and data management project work, but few consultants experienced in clinical and data management operations to provide needed expertise in establishing successful organizations and making the right decisions.  Blue Ridge Consulting is not a CRO, although we can assist you in selecting the right CRO for your needs.  Rather, Blue Ridge Consulting provides experience and expertise to assist you in decision-making and operational issues.
